We want to share

This community has been our life, our love, our passion. In hosting Elevation, we have reached out to the community to keep people abreast of happenings. Part of this is the discovery of who is there and what they are up to. But this has only a benefit to us. We do not feel it is appropriate to just share this effort with others without permission. It is not the nature of the community, nor the way we want to interact with it. Yet, there is a benefit to such information being available. What if you are moving from São Paulo to Frankfurt and want to find a studio, instructor or troupe? You can do the regular searches, but results in many places are spotty. We that challenge right here in the Denver area. And what if you are taking a trip to San Francisco and would love just to drop in at a studio to connect? You get the idea.

Studio, Instructor, Troupe Registry

This is the first service we are offering. It supports registry world-wide. There will never be a cost, beyond one basic agreement detailed below, to register a studio, instructor, or troupe. And there will never be a cost to perform a personal search in the registry.

Community Oriented

• Email addresses will never be shared. Period. End of story.
• We do not even record phone numbers.
• Search results will include:
  • Name of studio, instructor, or troupe,
  • Type of listing, i.e. studio, instructor, or troupe,
  • Dance styles,
  • If drop-ins are okay,
  • Any description you choose,
  • Web site URL - where you control what other information you want to share, and
  • Address.
• Searches will be restricted as reasonable for personal use. For instances, all listings with the word "studio" in the name is not a valid personal use search. We will not let this service become a harvesting tool for others.
• An account is required to list in the registry.
• No account is needed to search the registry.
• A coming service will be the ability to purchase group emails, for instance, all studios, instructors, and troupes within 300 miles of New Orleans, that have OPTED-IN to receiving such emails. Who might use this? A studio that is hosting a show and would like to reach out to others in the region to build connections. All such emails will be fully vetted for appropriateness to the community. You will not be getting any offers for sweet deals on new cars or used shoes.
• To simplify, account holders can OPT-IN to receive fully vetted announcement emails from others in the community. You will only get these emails if you specifically select to opt-in. You are opted-out by default.
• The group emails will come from the system directly and are fully controlled by us. Again, email addresses will never be shared.

Our agreement to list

An account is required to have your listings in the registry. In order to have an account on the system, you agree to allowing us to send you an email once a month. That's it. That is the only "cost" to list in the registry. Ever.
